  35th Midwest Clown RoundUp

Oct. 1st - 5th, 2008

"Don't forget to submit your ad"   PROGRAM BOOK

Be it known to all ye Red-Nosed Rogues and Scoundrels that roam the Seven Seas (or Seven Midwest states if one wants to be picky):

Close to 100 of your “mates” have already set their compasses and sails and will be landing in the land of Oconomowoc in the early part of October for the 35th MCA Round-up.  The infamous and notorious crew of Cousin Otto’s shall be serving as the host for this magnificent affair.

Upon arriving, each fully registered individual shall be receiving a fabulous “Booty Bag” filled with surprises and treasures acquired by the crew of Cousin Otto’s.  But be forewarned that a “treasure such as this” can only be divided so many ways and so be one of the first to register and secure your share of the loot!  For there be, only so many of the “Booty Bags” to be had!

On Wednesday night, the festivities will feature the revelry of a “Pirates’ Gala”!  The “Hoisting of the Colors” shall signify who has gathered for the fellowship!  (So start working on your Flag).  A new challenge has been issued to all comers to take part in the Pirate Songfest Competition.  Prepare ye a song, whether with a “crew”, a “mate” or if you dare, by yourself and be prepared to entertain the rowdy crowd gathered that night.  Perhaps you may even take home a special prize!  There shall be other games and activities including the possibility of a few individuals “walking the plank”, and who knows what lies at the end of the plank!  And a “SPECIAL” Celebration of the 35th Anniversary of the MCA shall be held during the evening.  So come dressed in your best or grungiest Pirate attire or an outfit suited for the Pirate theme.  Any guesses on how many “oversized parrots” show up for the night?

Over 30 classes, many with the opportunity to do “hands-on” learning have been scheduled.  See the Schedule of Events on the website for details and a description of the classes.  Not to mention, that over a dozen Dealers have been procured to peddle their wares and provide endless new bobbles and trinkets to be purchased and bartered for.

A hunt for a “Treasure” will have all parties checking clues and searching for the elusive prize!  Clues shall be given out throughout the Round-up at different times, so don’t miss your chance.  And by the way, you won’t require a shovel or pick, as they will be no digging up the property, so leave your tools behind!

And so now, all ye rascals and merry making scamps, get ye registrations mailed in, to “mark your spot” for the MCA Round-up!  Don’t forget to make your hotel reservations and start planning on having a fun filled time with the “PIRATES ON THE POND”!
